My Top 5 Trips

Hawai'i

Hawai'i

I traveled to the Hawai'ian islands of Oahu and the Big Island of Hawai'i over Easter 2018. It was the most amazing trip we have taken to date! Pictures truly don't do this place justice. it is definitely on my list to revisit.

Recommendations

  • Everything is expensive in Hawai'i - from groceries, to accommodations, you want to plan in advance to help keep your costs down, and leave room for enjoying activities while you are there.
  • Plan a guided tour around one of the islands to really get a good feel for what is available to tourists. We read lots of guides books in advance as well so we were well informed of what was available to take part in.

Riviera Maya, Mexico

Riviera Maya, Mexico

I visited the Riviera Maya area in Mexico to attend TPI's 20th Anniversary Conference. It was a great opportunity to visit new properties, meet with suppliers, and interact with other Travel Advisors.

Recommendations

  • Take time to visit the Mayan Ruins (we toured the Tulum ruins site). Ask me about out tour guide to make this trip even more memorable.

Universal Orlando

Universal Orlando

I visited Universal Orlando with my family, and the highlight was definitely the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Having been a huge fan of the movies and books, and read the books to my daughter, we all were completely overwhelmed at how the story was brought to life in the park. When we first walked into the village of Hogsmeade I was moved to tears. An incredible place to visit for any fan!

Recommendations

  • Stay onsite at one of Universal Orlando's resorts for early entry to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter an hour before the park opens to the public.

Disney Fantasy Western Caribbean Cruise

Disney Fantasy Western Caribbean Cruise

We sailed on the Halloween Cruise on the Disney Fantasy with 16 great friends. It was a fabulous cruise taking us to ports in the Cayman Islands, Mexico, and of course, Disney's private island in the Bahamas - Castaway Cay. Disney cruises are definitely my favorite for families, and traveling with friends was a great way to share this experience.

Recommendations

  • Get involved in all of the special events Disney has to offer on board. Every cruise has a pirate night with parties, fireworks, and special themed meals. Take costumes from home to really make this night special for your family.

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

I traveled to Secrets Cap Cana in Punta Cana for TPI's annual conference. It was an amazing week of meeting with suppliers and getting to explore resorts in this area. AM Resorts truly has a resort option for everyone, and clients are always happy with their experience at these resorts.

Recommendations

  • Take the time to research the resort you are choosing for your all-inclusive vacation. Don't let price be your only guiding factor.
