Panama City/Panama Canal/Costa Rica

Panama City/Panama Canal/Costa Rica

March, 2014

One doesn't truly appreciate the immense task completed in 1914 that is the Panama Canal until one sees it first hand. There is no better way to do this that a transverse of the Canal aboard Windstar Cruises.
We made this passage for the second time in March of 2014. I'm still impressed - with both Windstar and with the Canal! Add a few days in Panama City up front and a few days in Costa Rica (Tortuguero National Park for us) after, and you have an amazing spring break get away.

Newfoundland Photography Experience

Newfoundland Photography Experience

June, 2014

Closer to home, VG Photography Tours took a group of 10 enthusiastic photographers to St John's and Trinity NL to explore the photo opportunities of the Bonavista Peninsula. Perhaps one of the most photogenic provinces in Canada, and undoubtedly with the friendliest people in the world, Newfoundland is well worth an extended visit.
VG Photography tours is planning another tour there next year. Check out the Facebook link above or give me a call for more information on this tour as well as other photography tours they offer.

Europe River Cruise

Europe River Cruise

July, 2011

One of the most enjoyable ways to get a taste of Europe has to be on a river cruise. The Danube, Rhine, Main, Mosel, Seine, just to name a few. The options are many and varied.
We had the opportunity to end an extended European trip with a 7 day cruise; "The Legendary Danube" itinerary with AMA Waterways. After an enjoyable (albeit hectic) three weeks with family in the Netherlands, champagne tasting in France and other stops in Berlin, Munich, Chesky Krumlov and Prague, it was great to board the AmaLyra and have our every wish catered to.

Greek Isles. Mediterranean Cruise

Greek Isles. Mediterranean Cruise

October, 2016

What a way to celebrate an anniversary! Oceania combined two cruises back to back to create the 14 day 'Museums & Mosaics itinerary. On October 2nd we boarded the 1,250 passenger Oceania Riviera departing from Athens (Piraeus). Ports of call included Crete, Santorini, Katakolon, Corfu, Sicily, Rome, Portofino, Livorno, Monte Carlo, Marseille and Palma De Mallorca before disembarking in Barcellona, Spain on October 16th.

Oceania is a luxury cruise line featuring "Your World, Your Way." With six smaller ships (two at 1,250 passengers, four with 684 passenger capacity) their Itineraries encompass the world. Ask me about "The O Life Difference" and the "Finest Cuisine at Sea."
